Levi’s new foray into the skateboard world has taken the international route thanks to a skatepark initiative in India. Check out episodes one and two of the building of the first official public skatepark in Bangalore, India. Watch out for guest appearances from Nike skate greats like Stefan Janoski and Omar Salazar, both joining in the efforts to bring DIY skate culture to remote parts of the world.
Los Angelesbased Mexican/American skateboard wizard Paul Rodriguez presents the 7th incarnation of his signature “P. Rod” skate shoe. This year’s set up features a threequarter Nike Lunarlon midsol, seamless inner booty and the heellock collar making for a stronger, lighter and definitely more comfortable shoe. Nike drops its yearly tribute to Puertorican culture via the Air Force 1’s. Right around this time, before the annual Puertorican Day Parade in New York City (going down June 6th this year), fashionistas and Caribbean enthusiasts alike swarm to get a hold of the latest manifestation of the cult classic sneakers. This time around the designprobably one of the more progressive ones yetfeatures red baseball stitching, blue suede, and laser etching. Cap that off with a clear “ice” bottom and some blue design down at the sole and you’ve got a pair that could easily rep PR like OG Frankie Cutlass did back in the 90’s. Puerto Rico. Hooooooo!
Tennis legend Andre Agassi joins the ranks of Nike once again. This time the retired player will be on the philanthropic and ambassador side of the field rather than a sponsored athlete. According to Nike’s Phil Knight he’ll join the company on the outreach side. “As one of the world’s greatest tennis players, Agassi embodied the passion, dedication and determination of the Nike brand. As a philanthropist and campaigner, he continues to share Nike’s commitment to inspire the young generation with his Just Do It spirit. We are honored to welcome him back.” Congrats to him!

Capitalizing on the newlybuilt Barclay’s Center Arena in Brooklyn, New York City, Nike’s decided to open up a popup retail shop (The Pivot Point) that’s stocked with all things Air Force 1. It’s the 30th Anniversary of the infamous shoe and the new Lunar Force 1 is also available in the space.
After more than 30 years of history Nike’s legendary Air Force 1’s are welcoming change. It arrives in the form of their new Lunarlon cushioning and Hyperfuse construction. This means a lighter, comfier shoe that’s fused and forged with better breathability and durability. Fans can check out the full specs here. Release date for the Nike Lunar Force 1’s is December 12, 2012.
In conjunction with the release of the Nike Lunar Glide+ 4 and the Nike Flyknit the sportswear giant is hosting a special Innovation Hunt in Tokyo, Japan. The premise of the search is for participants to locate special Flynitinspired and Lunarinspired gear that has been hidden throughout the city. Items range from Lunarlon skateboard deck, to a Flyknit Bearbrick toy and special fixed gear bike. Game on!

Nike unveils its Team USA Track & Field uniforms for the upcoming 2012 Olympics. The Nike Pro TurboSpeed collection, as it’s dubbed, features the latest in performance, aethetics and sustainability.
