The recent postCommunist years of China’s growth have come at a hefty price, pollution. The BBC reports on how Beijing is currently suffering smog levels that are over 400 times the designated world limit. Unofficial tests record it at over 800! Aside from the obvious health risks and hospital visits this smog is causing, many Chinese are also just outraged at the way officials and agencies have handled the situation. Plus the growth numbers staggering. Beacause of the economic upturn, China consumes about half of the world’s coal and it’s automobile count is at 5 million, twice London’s! Makes one really reconsider the worth or meaning of “growth” it just puts such large populations at risk.
Professional skateboarder, Paul Rodriguez, visits New Orleans’ infamous 9th Ward in the latest episode of his Life series. There’s also a moment of clarity where the host poetically acknowledges the power of skateboarding and what it has the potential to for this community and others like it. Remarkably touching stuff!
With all the negative publicity that rappers and MC’s get on the mainstream media, we thought it’d be cool to send out some positive vibes by highlighting all of the Christmas toy drive action this season. Damn, talk about a Christmas Grinch! Watch the following video that captures a UPS employee stealing what a previous FedEx employee left on a customer’s porch. Apparently it was an iPad Mini gift. Don’t think that guy’s going to be delivering any more packages in 2013.

Even Mrs. Carter, Beyonce, was in the mix! Take a look at the event recap video. Dude’s life is a movie. Literally.
