SHEPARD FAIREY GETS FINED + PROBATION

Shepard-fairey

A controversial court case against renowned street artist, Shepard Fairey, recently came to a close. The result? Not in favor of the political vandal. You see Fairey was indicted for his infamous Barack Obama Hope poster. Apparently the image of the U.S. president was copy written by the Associate Press, something that Fairey denied and tried to hide. Unfortunately, a Manhattan federal court ruled against the artist, finding him guilty of tampering with evidence. He now owes a hefty $25K USD fine and has been placed on two years of probation. Yikes!
