AUSTRALIAN RETRO BOARDS
Those of you that know a bit about skateboard history will know that, before the standard of wooden ones, there was the era of injection molded plastic boards. Before the legendary Dogtown Z-boy scene, where wooden boards and polyurethane wheels changed the game, there were the ubiquitous "banana boards," appropriately named because of their predominantly yellow colorway. Now Australian-based company, Penny, remembers that time and presents their rendition of the classic, complete with updated wheels, bearings and color options. Be warned, however, as these babies don't come cheap! $145+ and you can ride out like the true old-school rippers would!
