A COLORED PAST

A COLORED PAST

Thanks to the U.S. Library of Congress and its archive of Farm Security Administration/Office of War photography, we now have a full-color look into Great Depression period in America. The pictures, which span 1939 to 1943, are a rare glimpse into the people and on goings of rural towns during that era. Its almost strange to admit how vivid the images are, as if the past wasn't so entirely "distant."
