DON’T DRINK THE KOOL-AID | PBS AIRS DOCUMENTARY ON JONESTOWN MASSACRE APRIL 9TH

By Led Black

Jonestown On November 18th, 1978 the largest mass-murder suicide took place in Jonestown, Guyana.  The man at the center of the tragedy was Jim Jones, the elusive and deranged head of the cult known as the Peoples Temple.  Over 900 people met their death that day either by drinking the cyanide laced Kool-Aid or by gunshots and strangulations for those that refused to commit suicide.  In Jonestown: The Life and Death of Peoples Temple, critically acclaimed filmmakers Stanley Nelson, Marcia Smith, and Noland Walker take viewers on an in-depth journey into that sad and sordid affair and interview some of the few remaining survivors of the ghastly event.

Are those Republica shades Jim Jones is wearing in that picture?

Negativo...no República shades on that Jim Jones.

This guy scares the crap out of me. How he managed to pull this off is amazing. I read about him previously and I think he was down with the CIA. This was the biggest mind control experiment that ever took place and of course it was mostly people of color that were used as guinea pigs (although you have to ask yourself how did those people allow themselves to be manipulated like that)!
