AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH: IT’S GETTING HOT IN HERE

December 06 was the first December since 1891 that it did not snow. This past Saturday, a record-breaking 72 degrees, felt a lot more like June than January. The writing is on the wall, global warming is not only a real thing but we are watching the effects of it in real time. Let’s face it folks we are in for a rude awakening. Mother Nature is pissed and she is about to make us feel the full wrath of her anger. Hurricane Katrina and the Asian Tsunami are ominous omens of what is to come, just the tip of the ever-melting iceberg. The earth is a biosphere, a living, breathing entity. It was around before man and will be around after man has compromised his ability to live on it.
Al Gore’s alarming and well-researched movie on the subject of Global Warming, An Inconvenient Truth, is a must-see flick that is as disturbing as it is informative and timely. Mr. Gore comes off as a highly intelligent and articulate person which is the complete opposite of the village idiot we now have serving as President. Environmental collapse can only be avoided through a dedicated and concerted global effort; sadly the cowboys who are in charge are only concerned with profit and total domination, thereby only exacerbating the situation. A Bob Marley lyric comes to mind, “Everyday the bucket goes to the well, one day the bottom will drop out”. I think we are much closer than we think to the bottom of the bucket dropping out.
