R.I.P. 2006-2006 | GOOGLE ANALYTICS FLATLINES

R.I.P. 2006-2006 | GOOGLE ANALYTICS FLATLINES

Analytics After struggling to report accurate traffic numbers during the past couple of days, our Google Analytics officially flatlined today (my friend and fellow webmaster, Harold from www.anivelde.com is also experiencing the same problem). For those of you that don’t know what the hell we’re talking about here, Google Analytics is a website traffic measurement tool (provided gratis by Google of course). Why is this such a big deal you ask? Because no Google product has ever completely bombed on us during the past two years. And believe you me, we’ve tried them and continue trying them all! We are big fans of Google and thus feel crushed by this setback in browser based computing.

Will Google engineers resurrect Analytics from the dead? Is this a plot by Microsoft on behalf of it’s soon to be released Vista operating system? How will we know who’s visiting from where? Is anyone else experiencing this problems…stay tuned.

Mine’s dead today too. Hopefully they’re just behind on processing the data.

We had the same thing, too. I’m sure it’s just temporary and that they have the data somewhere. They love data; I’m sure they’d never let any die (for their own marketing purposes of course).
