APPLICATIONS AVAILABLE FOR NEWLY CONSTRUCTED APARTMENTS LOCATED IN THE BRONX

125 Apartments Available at Below-Market Rents

The New York City Housing Development Corporation (HDC) is pleased to announce that applications are currently available for 125 newly constructed affordable housing rental apartments located at 303 East 158th Street & 320 East 159th Street in the Melrose section of the Bronx.

Initial rents range from $638 per month for studios up to $1,007 for three-bedroom apartments. Units are reserved for households with an annual income ranging from $27,280 to $49,320. (Incomes vary within these bounds depending on apartment size and family size).

Financing for the development known as Courtlandt Avenue Apartments, was made available through HDC’s Low-Income Affordable Market-Place Program (LAMP). This new housing opportunity was financed by HDC as part of Mayor Bloomberg’s affordable housing initiative, The New Housing Marketplace: Creating Housing for the Next Generation.

All requests must include a self-addressed stamped envelope.

Completed applications must be returned by regular mail to the Post Office Box indicated on the application and must be postmarked by August 26, 2006.

Eligibility is based on income, family composition, as well as other factors. Tenants will be selected though a lottery system.

Please note that HDC does not rent the apartments; all applications must be requested to the contact information above.
