ASK NYC TO SUPPORT FREELANCERS QUEST FOR HEALTH CARE
Please join our campaign to request support from the New York City Council to help Freelancers Union grow their membership. A larger membership means more insured freelancers. A larger membership means that freelancers will have a stronger voice in policy decisions that affect them. A larger membership also means better rates and more options for the services you need.

The New York City Council’s 2007 budget will be finalized soon. Please forward the enclosed letter to let the City Council know that independent workers are a substantial – and growing – constituency with real needs. Their goal is to have 250 freelancers forward this letter to City Council Speaker Christine Quinn, Health Committee Chairman Joel Rivera and Finance Committee Chairmen David Weprin. At the end of the end of the campaign, they will also print out the letters and deliver them to City Hall.
