HOT PHILLY SHOP UBIQ IS LOOKING FOR A CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Frontroom2 JOB DESCRIPTION
Creative Director – UBIQ

The role of Creative Director within the UBIQ family is a diverse, challenging career with rewarding goals in several directions of branding. First and foremost the Creative Director will work with the Art Director to structure both the retail and private label brands of UBIQ.

A strong vision and understanding of the retail world as well as the current state of fashion and streetwear is imperative. The forefront of streetwear will be brought to the UBIQ customer through a boutique store realized through the Creative Director. A firm knowledge of vendor relations is expected so that the Creative Director might act as a liaison for the UBIQ storefront and it’s brand. To better serve this role, having pre-established relationships with key industry tastemakers and vendor reps is highly desirable.

The Creative Director will also carry out the development of special projects for the brand and the storefront utilizing these relationships. A vision and thirst for new, exciting events, products, collaborations, and brand relationships in general for the retail world should be brought to the table. A forward approach to marketing and projects is already established, and the perfect candidate will seamlessly extend into that thought process once on board.

A strong understanding of the UBIQ concept is the key to success. This includes an understanding of the art/streetwear/sneaker/toy/music/fashion cultures and the people that make up their sub-markets. All of these elements encompass an ever present culture/target consumer. Combining all of these under one roof and presenting it in the air of excellence it deserves is the concept of UBIQ. An overwhelming one stop shopping destination for both streetwear and all of the cultures that surround it.

The UBIQ brand is located in Philadelphia, with it’s flagship store located on the prestigious Walnut Street stretch between 15th and 18th streets. Relocation to the greater Philadelphia area will be required, but a steady routine of travel will also be required as well to insure face to face relationships with vendors and collaborative companies. Being close to New York City affords UBIQ an appreciated breathing space from the world of NYC streetwear and boutiques, but also allows for easy travel to all of the NYC based industry events.
