COMCAST LAUNCHES SPANISH PORTAL

Comcast is teaming up with the country’s top-ranked Spanish language site, Terra.com, to launch Comcast Latino, a broadband portal featuring news, video clips and other online services.

The new site will be available to Comcast high-speed Internet subscribers at no additional charge.

The MSO said that the launch of Comcast Latino reflected its interest in reaching out to the largely underserved U.S. Hispanic market. "Comcast is committed to providing our large base of Hispanic customers with the content and services that have proven valuable to this community," said Charlie Herrin, Comcast’s senior vp of Internet product development. "The addition of Comcast Latino … further demonstrates Comcast’s commitment to providing content that reflects the diverse interests of our customers."
